In 1988, a skilled team of professors and engineers collaborated to design a device for the United States Military to measure the activity levels of troops in the field. In 2001, Manufacturing Technology, Inc (MTI) improved upon the device, eventually generating enough interest worldwide to justify the formation of ActiGraph in 2004. Today, researchers and physicians in more than 65 countries are using ActiGraph activity and sleep monitoring systems in the fields of exercise science, obesity and diabetes research, sleep diagnostics, clinical drug trials, rehabilitation monitoring, sports medicine and veterinary science.
From our corporate headquarters in Pensacola, Florida, ActiGraph is growing at an exciting pace. Our Engineering and Software Development teams continue to improve upon the original technology and further refine the algorithms used in our devices to maintain unparalleled accuracy and meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our Sales and Customer Service staff is dedicated to providing the consultation and support required to ensure that our customers achieve their research or clinical objectives.
